- Make sure to let the legislator know whether you want them to support or oppose the bill.
- Focus on the message and key points. Personalize the message and tell your lawmaker how it will impact you, your family, and your state.
4. Additional Considerations
- Consider letting your representative know if you were a supporter of theirs, for example, if you voted for them or donated to them in the past.
5. Conclusion
- Before you close, let them know again whether you wish for them to support or oppose the bill.
- Provide contact information, and let them know you are open to correspondence and discussion.
